The Olympic records for the event are 8.90 meters (29.2 ft) for men, set by Bob Beamon in 1968. 7.40 meters (24.3 ft) for women, set by Jackie Joyner-Kersee in 1988. A standing long jump irregular of the event was challenged from 1900 to 1912 and standing jumps specialist Ray Ewry won all but one of the gold medals in its brief history. I think the Olympics history is full of such records about the long jump. Long jump is a games which all children played in their childhood. The history of the long jump is really very splendid and awesome.
